After surveying hospitals nationwide, a group found that
relatives of the seriously ill were a forgotten entity! This problem
continues to increase as advanced medical technology makes it possible to
prolong life. As always, a most pressing difficulty faced by these families
is the lack of funds to cover accommodations and meals. This is compounded by
the fact that they are coping with caring for a relative with a
life-threatening illness. These pressures on the family can have a
detrimental effect on the recovery of the patient! Thus out of necessity
evolves Hospital Hospitality House...A Home Away from Home! Currently there
are several facilities across Tennessee where families of patients
undergoing treatment, can stay for an affordable fee! Houses currently are located in
Knoxville, Nashville, Oak Ridge, Jackson, Gallatin, Bristol and Columbia! A local
hospital refers all guests. The only qualification is that a person has a
need- financial or emotional! Somebody ought to help these House`s, MASONS
and Eastern Stars are somebody! Won`t you help this wonderful place called
Hospital Hospitality House?
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Have your lodge or chapter donate $100.00 to your regional Hospital Hospitality House
Take staple goods to your Eastern Star Chapter
Have your appendant body make a donation (goods or money)
Make a individual or corporate donation to these houses
