Born April 9, 1835 near Clinton in Wayne County

Died October 2, 1912 and buried in Warr Cemetery at Rossville

Educated at the University of North Carolina and in Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania

Illustrious Grand Master, Grand Council R & S Masons in 1870

He presented the A. V. Warr signet ring to the Grand Lodge in 1906, which has been worn by each sccessive Grand Master
