Roger E. Winningham

Roger Eugene Winningham was born in Byrdstown, Tennessee October 7, 1945, the son of Ward P. and Mary Lou Winningham. He was educated in the public schools of Pickett County Tennessee and attended Martin Junior College in Pulaski, Tennessee and Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee. He has been in the office equipment business for twenty eight years and is presently a partner in Better Business Equipment Inc. of Nashville, Tennessee.

He is married to the former Margaret Hooberry of Nashville, Tennessee and they have two children, daughter Nicole and son Daniel.

Brother Winningham was raised a Master Mason on September 22, 1979 in McWhirtersville Lodge No. 375, served as Worshipful Master in 1987, and is presently serving as Treasurer.

Companion Winningham was exalted in Donelson Chapter No. 234 on October 26, 1979, served as High Priest during 1988, and received the Order of High Priesthood in 1988. In 1993 he served the Grand Chapter as Grand Royal Arch Captain.

Companion Winningham was greeted in Nashville Council No. 1 on October 26, 1979, served as Illustrious Master during 1994, and received the Order of the Silver Trowel in 1994.

Sir Knight Winningham was knighted in Nashville Commandery No. 1 on October 27, 1979, served as Eminent Commander during 1995, and received the Knight Crusader of the Cross in 1995.

Companion Winningham was inducted into Tennessee Priory No. 15, Knights of the York Cross of Honor on March 27, 1996. He is a Past President of the Middle Tennessee York Rite Association, a member of the Middle Tennessee York Rite College, the Tennessee Lodge of Research, the Red Cross of Constantine, the Royal Order of Scotland, the Nashville Scottish Rite Bodies, Al Menah Shrine Temple, and Buchanan Chapter No. 286 Order of the Eastern Star where he served as Worthy Patron during 1986.

He was elected Grand Captain of the Host on March 26, 1996 and has advanced each year, being elected Most Excellent Grand High Priest Royal Arch Masons of Tennessee on March 23, 1999.
