Milton Ray Hager

​Born January 28, 1947, in Nashville, the third son of Brent and Elizabeth Hager. He attended Nashville public schools, graduating from East High School in 1965. He then attended Middle Tennessee State University and Aquinas Junior College, earning an associates degree in police science.

In 1967, he married his high school sweetheart, Lovie Ann Pryor. They have two daughters and three grandchildren. He and Lovie attend Tulip Grove Baptist Church.

In 1972, Milton began a 32-year career in high purity water treatment, working for various companies, but always staying in the same business. He has won several awards for sales achievements during his career.

Milton is an Eagle Scout, the first in his family.

Milton petitioned Edgefield Lodge No. 254 in East Nashville in 1981, receiving the three Blue Lodge degrees that same year. He served as Worshipful Master of Edgefield Lodge in 2000.

In 1982, he received the Royal Arch Degrees from Jere Baxter Chapter No. 197, the Cryptic Degrees from Nashville Council No.1, and the Commandery Orders from Nashville Commandery No. 1. He served as High Priest of Jere Baxter Chapter in 1987, Illustrious Master of Nashville Council No. 1 in 1995, and Commander of Nashville Commandery No. 1 in 1992. Milton transferred from Jere Baxter Chapter to Cumberland Chapter No. 1 in 1989, where he served as High Priest in 1994.

He is a member of Arch E. McClanahan Council No. 358 Allied Masonic Degree; Ezra Council No. 89, Knight Masons; York Rite College No. 143; Old Hickory Conclave Red Cross of Constantine; Tennessee Lodge of Research; and Tennessee Priory No. 15 Knight York Cross of Honor. He served as Royal Patron of Hope Court #16, Order of the Amaranth. He is a past president of the Middle Tennessee York Rite Association, a member of Al Menah Shrine and works in the Nashville Scottish Rite Degrees.

Milton has served as Grand Chaplain for the Grand Chapter; Royal Arch Masons, in 1994, 1995, and 1999, and for the Grand Council, Cryptic Masons, in 2001. In March 2002, he was elected to Grand Captain of the Hosts for the Grand Chapter, and has advanced up the grand line; being elected Most Excellent Grand High Priest on March 22, 2005.
